Kitch'n'Art网上画廊艺术家Evgeniy Tonkonogy

　　Evgeniy Tonkonogy (http://www.kitchandart.com/#!ch-home/c1kgs)在1981诞生于俄罗斯乌法。他的双亲都是艺术兼插画家。因此，他自小就熟悉涂料的味道、知道蚀刻机怎样操作，更对裸体见惯不怪，以及其它对艺术家来说非常重要的东西。父母的工作室，对他来说是一个充满神秘色彩的地方。他父亲用树根制成的扶手椅是一张宝座。而在暗房中有一盏用熔岩做成的神灯和暖暖的壁炉。Pink Floyd 和Dire Straits的歌声总是从黑胶唱片流泻而出，在室内回荡着。

　　Evgeniy在俄罗斯圣彼得堡修读设计课程，但是不打算成为一名艺术家。他觉得艺术是一门严肃的职业，适合那些累积一定人生阅历和心里总有话要说的人。他使用凝胶笔或铅笔轻松随意的画画，然后使用电脑上色的作品看起来没什么价值。

　　Evgeniy在2004年到一家杂志社求职。该公司的艺术总监看了他的资料后建议他当插画家。自此，他开始为许多杂志画插画，其中包括Mary Clare、Esquire、GQ、Men's Health、Afisha和Robb Report Singapore。此外，他也为多个著名品牌画广告，如Honda、Mazda、Nissan、Volvo、Sberbank、VTB 24、Procter & Gamble、Coca-Cola、Ararat、STS TV Channel 等等。

　　除了画插画，Evgeniy也曾在设计制作室和杂志当设计师和艺术总监。自2007年起，他开始当自由工作者。30多年后，Evgeniy觉得有必要创造一些属于自己的东西。他想要把童年的记忆，加上阅读过的书籍和观赏过的影片而逐渐形成的图像形象化。于是，他开始寻找适合创作其故事的技巧。他想要用双手完成有关作品，完全不运用任何软件。就在那个时候，蚀刻机涂料的味道开始在他的记忆中复苏。他租了一间工作室开始画作，并尝试唤醒孩童时期所熟悉的记忆。

　　Evgeniy总是在其作品中留下许多谜团，观众必须仔细观察艺术家留下的细节和符号，从中解开谜团。这些都是锁定在一个方框的故事，有的甚至将继续精彩。

　　Evgeniy目前和家人定居于圣彼得堡。他育有两名女儿。

　　Evgeniy Tonkonogy was born in Ufa, Russia in 1981. His parents are artists-illustrators. He knew from his early days how paint smelled like, how did the etching machine work, how a naked figure looked like and many other important things for an artist. His parents’ workshop was a world full of mystery. The armchair made of tree roots by his father was a throne. There also was a magic lamp made of lava and warm fireplace in dark room. The vinyl records by Pink Floyd and Dire Straits were being played there.

　　Evgeniy studied design in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He was not planning to become an artist. He considered this serious profession to be meant for people with reach life experience and for those that have something to say. While his unserious drawings by gel pen or pencil and colored on a computer didn’t seem to be of any value.

　　In 2004 Evgeniy applied for a job in a magazine. The art-director saw his portfolio and proposed to work as an illustrator. Since then Evgeniy illustrated many magazines, including Mary Clare, Esquire, GQ, Men's Health, Afisha, Robb Report Singapore. He drew advertisements for such brands as Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Volvo, Sberbank, VTB 24, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Ararat, STS TV Channel and others.

　　In addition to illustrations Evgeniy worked as a designer and art-director in design studios and magazines. Since 2007 he has been only doing freelance work. After 30 years Evgeniy has found a need to create something of his own. He wanted to visualize images that gradually formed from his childhood memories, books he read and movies he watched. He started to search for the proper technique for his stories. He wanted the art-work to be done in hand without use of any software. That is when he remembered the smell of etching machine paint. He rented a workshop and began to work with prints trying to remember what he learned when he was a child.

　　In his work Evgeniy leaves many mysteries that viewers should solve on their own by taking a good look into details and symbols left by the artist. These are stories locked in one frame but that might continue.

　　Evgeniy lives with his family in Saint-Petersburg. He has two daughters.
